Trauma Registry Specialist
Position Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Abstracts detailed clinical and administrative data from medical records to ensure that Trauma Registry meets National Trauma Data Standard and state regulatory requirements. Accurately enters data into Trauma Registry into computerized trauma registry database. Reports data to outside organizations based on regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified applicants are required to have a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health information Technician(RHIT) or two (to years of trauma registry experience.
